An adult must be present to correctly assemble the telescope and teach your child to adjust the focus.
In general, we recommend aligning your expectations for these scientific instruments with your budget. Telescopes for children are great for introducing your child to magnification and what it can do. The great revelations will typically come with a more advanced instrument, which will also be more expensive, with more features and higher magnification.
