Apple Peeler - Make Homemade Apple Chips
When life gives you too many apples... bring out this apple peeler.Â
It stays in place on the tabletop thanks to its non-slip, rubber-coated base that works like a suction cup. Removes the apple core.
How to use the apple peeler:Â
Rinse the apple and place it in the peeler.Â
Now turn the handle to peel the apple in one long, thin strip. The apple is simultaneously cut into beautiful spirals, leaving only the core behind.Â
How to make apple chips:Â
Place the thin, peeled apple slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle them with cinnamon or cinnamon sugar, if you like. Dry the apple slices in the oven at around 100 degrees Celsius for about 2 hours until they are dry and crisp. Keep an eye on them while they're in the oven. If your oven is new and well-sealed, place something in the door to let the steam escape and help the apples dry.Â
If you have a warm space, for instance a furnace room, with good air circulation, you can also dry the apple chips there. Hang them on a string and separate them so they're not touching each other. This way, it takes a few days for them to dry.Â
Store the chips in an airtight tin or jar. If they go soft, you can easily make them crisp again by baking them in the oven for 15 minutes at 110 degrees Celsius.Â
What makes this product special
Toys for learning through play
Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with
