Do you know Time Timer?

Your child becomes much more independent from being able to read a clock and manage their own time; for instance, how long until mealtime or when guests will arrive. The Time Timer has a dial that shows time counting down.

The concept of time is abstract, so in our opinion, the Time Timer is just a stroke of genius. The red (or blue) disc clearly indicates how many minutes are left. Time goes by without distracting audible ticks, and it's easy to track the countdown.

You can choose between several Time Timer models. For example, Time Timers come as wristwatches, in large and small versions, and with different minute counts. The Time Timer is also great for children and adults with special needs. The bigger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and ultra quiet timers with no audible ticking.

The idea behind the 60-minute Time Timer
The clock counts down, but it goes clockwise and the numbers also go down instead of up.

It's very logical. For instance, when you want to set the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child knows 25 minutes are left of the evening before they need to brush their teeth, scrub their toes, and crawl into bed, this is how you do it on the Time Timer:

Set the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it says "35 minutes" on a dial – because from "35" to "12 o’clock" is 25 minutes.

The clever thing about the Time Timer is that the dial is reversed. On the Time Timer, it doesn't say "35" when you set the timer to 25 minutes. It logically shows "25". And the red disc counts down from "25" rather than counting up from "35".

So, this means you need to adjust the standard (60 min) Time Timer to "25" when you want to time 25 minutes. After 5 minutes, the red disc will show "20" minutes, so it's clear that there are only 20 minutes left before bedtime.
