What makes this product special
Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 14+ yrs.
Your child uses lots of different skills at school, and every day they're learning new mental, physical, academic, and social skills all at the same time. Practising one or two academic skills in a calm setting with you at home can make school a better experience for your child.
With educational games, puzzles, and other kinds of playful learning activities, your child can gradually get better at number recognition, writing, small times tables, logical reasoning, and other academic skills.
Maybe your child simply can’t get enough of educational play and wants more numbers, logic, and letters at home. Or maybe your child hasn’t started school yet and is sooooo excited to get started and join the big kids. Keep school-related toys around at home, so your child has access to playful, enjoyable learning and can practise whenever they want.
For example, if your child has 15 minutes to wolf down some cereal in the morning, then simply set the Time Timer to 15 minutes. The timer then counts down silently, and the coloured disc gets smaller and smaller.
There are several Time Timer models to choose from. You can get Time Timers as wristwatches, in large and small versions, and with different minute counts. The Time Timer is also great for people with special needs. The bigger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and ultra quiet timers without ticking.
The idea behind the 60 mins Time Timer
The clock counts down, but the numbers also go downwards and clockwise instead of up.
It's very logical. For instance, if you want to adjust the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child knows 25 minutes are left of the evening before lunchboxes need to be packed and toes need to be scrubbed before bedtime, this is how it's done on the Time Timer:
Set the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it would say "35 minutes" on a regular clock – because from "35" to "12 o’clock" is 25 minutes.
The ingenious thing about the Time Timer is that the clock dial is reversed. On the Time Timer, it doesn't say "35" when you set the timer to 25 minutes. It logically shows "25". And the clock counts down from "25" rather than counting up from "35".
So, this means you need to set your classic 60-minute Time Timer to "25" when you want to count down from 25 minutes. When 5 minutes have gone by, the red disc shows 20 minutes, so it's clear to see that there are only 20 minutes left until it's time to get ready for bed.

This classroom set from Time Timer makes it easy to give students a visual understanding of what’s happening next and in what order.
With the 245 magnetic pictograms, you can create a sequence of 5 or more activities and use the included arrow to show where you are in the routine.
You can also map out what’s needed, such as pencils, paper, scissors, and glue for arts and crafts activities. Or show the steps: first draw, then colour, then cut, then glue—and then it’s time for a well-earned break.
The set includes:
- 245 magnetic pictograms
- Magnetic organiser board
- Dry-erase marker
Dry-erase board not included.
The pictograms are ideal for use with Time Timer—please note that the timer must be purchased separately.

Being able to understand and sense time makes us feel safe and reduces stress. With the Time Timer, time is visualised, and you don't need to be able to tell time in order to understand how time is counting down. For example, if your child has 15 minutes to wolf down some cereal in the morning, then simply set the Time Timer to 15 minutes. The timer then counts down silently, and the coloured disc gets smaller and smaller.
