This clever, touchless handwashing timer helps the whole family build good hand hygiene habits. The key is washing for long enough.
Time Timers are a family of clever timers that count down rather than up—and it just makes so much sense. They give you a clear visual sense of time as it passes and how much is left. In their own unique way, Time Timers make time easy to grasp, even for children who can’t tell the time yet.
This Time Timer WASH belongs by the sink, whether in the bathroom or the kitchen. It breaks handwashing into three simple steps: lather, scrub, and rinse. Just wave your hand in front of it to get started (after all, pressing buttons with dirty hands would kind of defeat the purpose).
You get 5 seconds to lather up, 20 seconds for a good scrub, and 5 seconds to rinse. Ta-da—clean hands, ready for sanitiser, and off you go. Just remember: hand sanitiser only works on visibly clean hands.
- With a handy suction cup, the timer sticks to any smooth surface. It can also stand alone.
- Choose between music or beeps at all three stages of handwashing—or use silent mode.
- Water-resistant.
- Requires 3 AA batteries (not included)
Here, essential skills are developed, which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- Here, you can boost your memory through play.
- Gives your child the courage to become self-reliant. Many children WANT to do things on their own, and that motivation for self-reliance gets fuelled through the skills and confidence learned in this activity.
Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to Seniors
Do you know Time Timer?
Being able to feel and make sense of time reduces stress and increases safety. With the Time Timer, time is visualised, and it's not necessary to tell time in order to know how the minutes are counting down. The concept of time is quite abstract, so in our opinion, the Time Timer is just one of the most ingenious things we have seen in a long time. The red (or blue) disc clearly shows how many minutes remain. Time goes by without distracting audible ticks, and the coloured disc is easy to read.
We have several Time Timer models to choose from. Time Timers are made with different minute counts, in various sizes, and even as wristwatches. The Time Timer is also great for children and adults with special needs. The larger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and silent timers without ticking.
This is how the classic 60-minute Time Timer works:
The clock counts down, but the numbers also go downwards and clockwise rather than up.
It's really logical. For example, when you need to set the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child understands 25 minutes are left of the evening before they need to brush their teeth, scrub their toes, and crawl into bed, this is how it's done on the standard Time Timer:
Set the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it says "35 minutes" on a clock dial – because there are 25 minutes from "35" to "12 o’clock".
The smart thing about the Time Timer is that the dial is reversed. On the Time Timer, it doesn't say "35" when you set the timer to 25 minutes. It logically shows "25". And the clock counts down from "25" and not up from "35".
So, this means you need to set your classic 60-minute Time Timer to "25" when you want to time 25 minutes. After 5 minutes, the red disc shows 20 minutes, so it's clear that there are only 20 minutes left of the evening.
