Time Timer WASH
This clever, touchless handwashing timer helps the whole family build good hand hygiene habits. The key is washing for long enough.Â
Time Timers are a family of clever timers that count down rather than up—and it just makes so much sense. They give you a clear visual sense of time as it passes and how much is left. In their own unique way, Time Timers make time easy to grasp, even for children who can’t tell the time yet.Â
This Time Timer WASH belongs by the sink, whether in the bathroom or the kitchen. It breaks handwashing into three simple steps: lather, scrub, and rinse. Just wave your hand in front of it to get started (after all, pressing buttons with dirty hands would kind of defeat the purpose).Â
You get 5 seconds to lather up, 20 seconds for a good scrub, and 5 seconds to rinse. Ta-da—clean hands, ready for sanitiser, and off you go. Just remember: hand sanitiser only works on visibly clean hands.Â
- With a handy suction cup, the timer sticks to any smooth surface. It can also stand alone. Â
- Choose between music or beeps at all three stages of handwashing—or use silent mode.
- Water-resistant.
- Requires 3 AA batteries (not included)

What makes this product special
Toys for learning through play
Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with

Do you know Time Timer?
Being able to understand and sense time reduces stress and increases safety. With the Time Timer, time is visualised, and you don't need to be able to read a clock in order to know how much time is left. For example, if your child has fifteen minutes to eat breakfast in the morning, you just set your Time Timer to 15 minutes. Then, the timer goes down silently, while the coloured disc gradually gets smaller and smaller.
There are several Time Timer models to choose from. You can get Time Timers as wristwatches, in large and small versions, and with different minute counts. The Time Timer is also great for children and adults with special needs. The larger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and ultra quiet timers without ticking.
The main idea behind the classic 60-minute Time Timer
The clock counts down, but it goes clockwise and the numbers also go downwards instead of up.
It's very logical. For example, when you want to adjust the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child knows 25 minutes are left of the evening before teeth need to be brushed and lunchboxes need to be packed, this is how you do it on the standard Time Timer:
Adjust the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it would say "35 minutes" on a regular clock – because from "35" to "12 o’clock" is 25 minutes.
The ingenious thing about the Time Timer is that the numbers are reversed. On the Time Timer, the dial logically shows "25" (not 35) when you set the timer to 25 minutes. And the clock counts down from "25" rather than counting up from "35".
So, this means you need to set your Time Timer to "25" when you want to time 25 minutes. When 5 minutes have passed, the red disc will be at "20" minutes, so it's clear that there are only 20 minutes left of the evening.
