The tiny BIO bucket set is made in Denmark from bioplastic based on 90% sugarcane and is Nordic Swan Ecolabelled.

Dantoy’s bioplastic toys are not designed to be biodegradable. Biodegradability would mean a shorter life span, and that would not be sustainable. When resources have been used to design and package a toy, it's more sustainable to ensure the toy lasts for many years. Biodegradability makes more sense for products like food packaging, which have a shorter production cycle than toys and don’t require as much packaging.

That means this toy isn’t made to be thrown away after use. It’s made to be played with for many years, passed on to other children when your child outgrows it, and eventually recycled as hard plastic so resources aren’t wasted.
