Toy food is fantastic for pretend play, which inspires your child to imitate real-life experiences such as shopping, cooking, or visiting a café. Have conversations about what happens to food inside the body, where our food comes from, and when we usually eat it. This helps expand your child’s knowledge and vocabulary.

Role play gives children the opportunity to imitate everyday tasks and activities, which supports their understanding of the world they live in. You can expand your child's play opportunities by playing grocery store, maybe with homemade signs and price tags. That way, you can practise both numbers and letters, and your child can strengthen their math skills and their manners through role play.
