Weighted Vest - X-Small, 0.9 kg

Soft and comfortable weighted vest, ideal for children's sensory integration therapy.

The weights are placed below your child’s centre of gravity in hidden pockets. They help create a sense of stability and comfort by stimulating proprioception and releasing the hormone oxytocin.

Please note: This vest is not suitable for strength training. 
The sensation is more like a gentle, reassuring hug.

• This vest is size XS
• Waist: 61 cm
• Height: 30–41 cm
• Adjustable at the waist with Velcro
• The shoulder straps are not adjustable
• This vest fits children aged around 4–6, but we recommend choosing the size based on height and weight rather than age.

When choosing the right size for your child, be sure to measure carefully. The weights should sit below the belly button. 

As a general rule for weighted products, the weight should not exceed 10% of your child’s body weight. However, vests are a bit different: a child weighing 15 kg may find a vest of just under 1 kg quite heavy, so we encourage you to keep this in mind when using a weighted vest for sensory integration.

How to use:

Weighted products should be used for around 15–20 minutes at a time. After that, the effect gradually decreases as the body gets used to the extra weight. After 20–30 minutes, the positive effects may no longer be noticeable.
