Suitable for ages 1 yr. to 5 yrs.Building and constructing is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We could very easily write a long essay about how construction play supports your child's hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and creativity as well as understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
With this type of play, your child also gets hands-on experience with solving problems as they figure out how to design the construction so it doesn't collapse. Your child's construction play with all sorts of magnets, building blocks, or pieces stimulates their imagination. Also, it's just such a confidence boost to build the longest marble run ever or construct a skyscraper higher than yourself, or to create a super cool domino track and film it when it topples.
