Many children love games with clear and defined rules. Such games can be a nice change from wild, free play with friends - a game has rules, and that can be a relief.
Moreover, playing games gives your child an opportunity to learn to cope with losing a game. We suggest not letting your child win the game every single time. Learning how to cope with disappointment in a safe environment together with you makes your child resilient. After all, you will no longer be there to shield your child from defeat and disappointment later in life when they are on their own.
