What makes this product special
Many children love games with clear and defined rules. Such games can be a nice change from wild, free play with friends - games have rules, and for many children that can be a relief.
In addition, playing a game gives your child an opportunity to practise other important skills, such as losing. We recommend not letting your child win the game every single time. Learning how to handle the disappointment of losing in a safe environment together with you builds resilience in your child. After all, you will no longer be able to shield your child from defeat and disappointment later in life when they have to handle things on their own.
The activity helps your child develop new skills and is great for your child's well-being:
- Strengthens your child's fine motor skills through play.
- Stimulates hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting a straight line with scissors, pouring a glass of water without spilling and making a mess, or when throwing, kicking, or catching the ball that comes flying at us in the playground.
