Toys for learning through play
Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with

The ultimate maze challenge.Â
The included maze board is the most challenging version.

Many children love games and activities with clear rules and limits. In contrast to wild, free play with friends at school or kindergarten, it can be nice to immerse yourself in an activity where not everything is up for negotiation - a game has rules, and that can be a relief.
In addition, playing a game gives your child an opportunity to practise other important skills, such as losing. We suggest that you don't always let your child win when you play a game. Learning how to handle defeat in safe surroundings with you helps make children robust and resilient. After all, you won't be there to shield your child from disappointment and defeat later in life when they go out on their own.
The activity helps your child develop new skills and is wonderful for your child's well-being:
- Gives your child's fine motor skills a playful boost.
- Supports hand-eye coordination, a skill we rely on for example when we catch or kick a ball that comes flying towards us in PE class, when we cut a straight line line with a pair of scissors, or when we want to pour water into a glass without spilling and making a mess.
- A great way to help your child get better at concentrating.
