Item No: 1185-96607
The vestibular sense
Depth perception
Gross motor skills

The 2-in-1 Highwaykick 1 Lifestyle can grow with your child from around age 1 and all the way through their preschool years.

A special feature of the Lifestyle model is the little front storage compartment, which is perfect when your child wants to take their favourite stuffed animal along for a ride or pick up little treasures on the way.

Seat height, handlebar height, weight, and wheel size are the same as our other Highwaykick 1 models.

  • Fits children from 82-118 cm tall
  • Max. weight capacity: 50 kg on the scooter, 20 kg on the seat
  • Adjustable seat height: 22.5–29 cm
  • Adjustable handlebar: 57–64 cm
  • Front rubber safety pad prevents tipping forward
  • Front wheels: 2 x 120 mm PU
  • Rear wheel: 80 mm PU
  • Weight: 2.8 kg

Your child steers the Highwaykick by shifting their body weight rather than turning the handlebars (which actually don’t turn at all). That means balance training happens naturally as your child learns to control their centre of gravity by leaning their body from side to side.

Suitable for children aged 1 yr. to 5 yrs.

A balance bike has no pedals, so your child pushes the bike forward with their feet while straddling the bike. Balance bikes are brilliant for improving your child's balance and crossbody coordination from the time they're little.

A balance bike is a great way to challenge your child without them crashing or falling over often - because your child has a foot on the ground at all times and is able to keep their balance and stop the bike. Being able to control their speed much more easily than on a normal bike gives your child a sense of freedom. At the same time, you can also practise left/right, understanding traffic signals, and looking out for other road users.

A wonderful way to prepare for learning to ride a bike with pedals. Most often, your child can skip using training wheels on their pedal bike, because they've already had lots of balance training.

Scooters are a great way for children to strengthen their balance and gross motor skills while simultaneously getting plenty of exercise, speed, and fresh air. What's even better, scooters are easy to bring with you everywhere you go - and some of our scooters are even foldable.

Older kids (and kids with balance bike experience) can whiz around on scooters with two wheels, or trick scooters, while the littlest ones can find their balance on three wheels.

Develops important skills that are great for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

  • This type of play stimulates your child's depth perception.
  • Develops your child's gross motor skills, which are engaged whenever your child is physically active.
  • This is a great way for your child to enhance their vestibular sense. The vestibular sense helps us to spin in circles, stand on one leg, or ride in a car without getting dizzy, losing our balance, or getting car sick.
