Telescope
With 30x magnification, this handheld telescope helps children explore the world up close. Perfect for pirate adventures, nature exploration and much more. A fun way to introduce children to observation as a scientific skill.
Unlike binoculars, a telescope lets your child observe distant objects through a single eyepiece.
- Some children find it difficult to close one eye and focus through a telescope. If that's the case, it can be easier to look through the eyepiece with one eye while covering the other with a hand.
- This telescope offers serious magnification, so your child will need a steady hand and careful aim to get a clear view through the lens.Â
37 cm long.Â

Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with

For instance, if a telescope has 27x magnification, it means that something which is 27 metres away from you looks as if it's just 1 metre away when you look through the telescope.
An adult must be present to correctly assemble the telescope and teach your child to adjust the focus.
Remember that price and quality usually go hand in hand when it comes to telescopes. Beginner telescopes can spark your child’s interest in astronomy. The big astronomical eureka moments will probably come with a fancier telescope, which will also be more expensive, with higher magnification and more features.
