Suitable for children aged 5 yrs. to 10 yrs. BioBeads are a new type of pegboards and fuse beads from Swedish manufacturer Nabbi, who have made fuse beads for pegboards for years.BioBeads are made from the material Biodolomer. The manufacturing process takes less than 10 percent of the water required to produce bioplastics from for instance sugar cane. Biodolomer does not end up as microplastics in the ocean. It's heavier than water, so it doesn't float around on the ocean. And it fully dissolves over time.
If you also have regular plastic fuse beads in your bead collection, note that BioBeads will not stick to fuse beads made from regular plastic if ironed together. The two bead types have different melting points.
