When your child plays with a ball using their feet, hands, head, or a racket/bat, their depth perception is developed. Ball games may also have rules, and it's beneficial for your child to practise negotiating them. So, when your child persistently maintains that there's absolutely NO penalty, or that the ball was NOT out of bounds, that's a learning moment right there. Also, your child's proprioception gets a good workout with ball games, and that's a sense which really can't be overstimulated.
