With a chew necklace around their neck, your child can find comfort and self-regulate without chewing on sleeves, shirt collars, pillows, pencils, or other things. 

This pendant is suitable for children who like to chew on something very hard and completely unyielding.

The small bumps provide extra oral sensory input and stimulation for the lips, tongue, and mouth, which is especially appealing to children who also like to suck on things.

Some children chew, nibble, and suck on things to calm their nervous system by stimulating the many nerve endings (so-called receptors) of the mouth and teeth. Chewing is not dangerous, but if you want to give pillows, pencils, and shirt sleeves a break, then a sensory chew toy is helpful.
