Building and constructing is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We could easily write a long essay about how construction play benefits your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as their interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.
With this type of play, your child also gets real hands-on experience with solving problems when it comes to figuring out how to put together the construction so it doesn't collapse.
