Constructing and building is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We can very easily write a whole book about how building and construction play stimulates your child's fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity as well as understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.

With construction play, your child also gets practical experience with solving problems when they need to figure out how to put together the construction so it doesn't suddenly fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building materials stimulates their imagination. And it's just such a confidence boost to construct a tall, tall tower or build the longest marble run ever, or to make an impressive row of dominoes and film it when it topples.

Do you know CONNETIX?

In 2019, a couple of parents in Australia came up with the idea for Connetix. Their children loved playing and building with magnets, and the parents came up with the idea to create even more see-through magnetic construction tiles. At the same time, they designed a ball run that could be put together with the magnetic parts - and thus the original Connetix was born. Connetix are magnetic construction tiles that are more transparent and have a cleaner design than, for example, Magna-Tiles. Connetix are even more beautiful to look through when your child builds in 2D against a window or on a light panel. They have two magnets on each side and can be combined with Magna-Tiles and Cleverclixx - but they cannot be combined with Magformers.

If you are going to play with ball runs, you should ideally have a set of square magnetic tiles (either Connetix or Magna-Tiles) and also a ball run set. The ball run packs contain no, or only a few, regular building tiles, so they need a few extra parts to look like the ones in the pictures.
