Drawing and having fun simply helps your child gain control of the pencil, which is a big advantage at school. And it's so lovely to get a little handwritten note from your child that says "lof yoo" - and equally surprising and amusing to notice the first piece of paper stuck to the door of your child’s room that says "groanups keep out". Later on, it’s time for slightly more complicated writing projects such as handwritten cards for Christmas and birthdays – made possible by a good grasp and a steady handwriting.
