Drawing, painting, and writing strengthen your child's pencil grasp and fine motor skills, which are both essential for learning to write letters and numbers legibly.
Drawing and having fun simply helps your child gain better control of the pencil, which is a big advantage for schoolwork. And it's so lovely to receive a little handwritten note from your child that says "lof yu" - and equally surprising and amusing to see the first note stuck to the door of your child’s room that says "no parints aloud". Later on, it’s time for slightly more challenging writing projects such as handwritten Christmas and birthday cards – made possible by a proper grasp and a well-developed handwriting.
