Layered Puzzle - Animal Species

Doing puzzles is a good way to get better at understanding how parts fit together to form a whole and envisioning where each piece belongs in the big picture.

The ability to perceive something visually (with our eyes) and envision a whole (and what parts are missing) is an important skill when learning geometry and math as well as understanding how sums, sentences, or even a piece of knitting, among other things, consist of sequences and patterns.

If the puzzle has a special topic, such as animals, anatomy, or geography, you can talk about it and strengthen your child's vocabulary while you're placing the pieces.
