Learn Fractions with Citrus Fruits
This set of different citrus fruits divided into fractions helps your child learn to recognise the size of individual fractions - not so much a logical understanding of what a fraction really is, but rather a visual memory of what it looks like. When your child sees a lime divided into 4, they get a mental image of what a quarter looks like that will stick in their memory. 1/4... that's the lime!
The same applies to the half lemon, the clementine divided into fifths, the apple in thirds, and the whole orange. That kind of automatic recognition helps your child tremendously later on - just like learning to recognise the 120 most commonly used words is helpful when learning to read and write.Â
The sharp-eyed child might pause with a knowing look and point out that an apple is definitely not a citrus fruit. What is an apple doing in my citrus fractions? Well, yes, you're absolutely right. There’s actually an apple included, so perceptive little minds have something to puzzle over and comment on. That in itself deserves an extra reward.

About Tender Leaf Toys:
Made from rubberwood left over from latex production in Indonesian forests.
The toys are produced at a family-owned factory in Indonesia, where the Tender Leaf Toys team spends two months each year developing toys and working alongside local villagers.
For every tree felled, a new one is planted. Tender Leaf Toys has been recognised by the ICTI Ethical Toy Program for their efforts to make the entire production process more socially and environmentally sustainable.
The toys are hand-painted and manually packed in recycled cardboard, and Tender Leaf Toys has almost managed to completely eliminate the use of single-use plastic.

What makes this product special
Toys for learning through play
Play is essential for children’s learning, well-being, and development. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them.
Play helps children:
• stay curious
• focus and become absorbed in what they're doing
• take on age-appropriate challenges
• build confidence
We believe children learn best by doing things for themselves:
• by making mistakes
• by getting messy
• by falling down and getting back up again
Resilience, confidence, and courage grow through experience, one small step at a time.
That's why we carefully choose toys that encourage independence, imagination, movement, and social skills — offering just the right balance of support, freedom, and opportunities to grow.
Carefully selected toys
We carefully handpick every toy from the vast world of toys available today. The only toys that make it into our range are ones we'd be happy to give our own children.
Every toy at ToyAcademy should:
• support learning through play
• be made from durable, high-quality materials
• be safe and enjoyable for children to play with
20 years of experience as parents and professionals

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) play activities and experiments are a perfect example of that. The conventional boundaries between natural science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are erased, and your child learns through playing and experimenting.
