Constructing and building is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We can certainly write a whole book about how this type of play stimulates your child's fine motor skills, creativity, and hand-eye coordination as well as their interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.

While playing, your child also gets hands-on experience with problem-solving as they figure out how to put together the construction so it doesn't fall over. Also, it's just so satisfying to build the longest marble run ever or construct a skyscraper higher than yourself, or to create a really cool row of dominoes and film it as it topples.

Magna-Tiles are high-quality magnetic construction toys that challenge and invite children to explore how different geometric shapes can be used to build anything from very simple to very complex structures (look at a bridge or a football - both consist of triangles and squares in a neat pattern). Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides, so they easily stick to each other via magnetic attraction. They come in many different themes, shapes, and sizes, with mirrors, transparent, and with figures. There is something for every child.

Magna-Tiles are polarised so that the building tiles do not repel each other and can be put together on all sides and edges. The tiles are made from ABS plastic, which is very durable. They cannot be combined with Magformers, but they work with Connetix.

They can be cleaned with a damp, well wrung out cloth. They should not be plunged in the sink with the dirty dishes or put in the dishwasher or washing machine. If they do get wet, you can save them by setting them upright to dry so the water can drain out.
