Building and constructing is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We can easily write a long book about how construction play benefits your child's creativity, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills as well as their understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
While playing, your child also gets real-life experience with solving problems as they figure out how to set up the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of magnets, building blocks, or pieces develops their imagination and patience. Also, it's so satisfying to build the longest marble run ever or construct a skyscraper higher than yourself, or to make an impressive domino track and film it when it topples.

Do you know Magna-Tiles?
Magna-Tiles are lovely magnetic building toys that encourage and challenge your child to explore how different geometric shapes can be used to build both very small and quite large structures (look at a bridge or a football - both consist of triangles and squares in a neat pattern). Magna-Tiles are magnetic on all sides, so they easily stick to each other via magnetic attraction. They come in many different themes, shapes, and sizes, with mirrors, transparent, and with figures. There is something for every child.Magna-Tiles are polarised so that the tiles attract each other on all sides. The tiles are produced from ABS plastic, which is very durable. They do not fit with Magformers, but they work with Connetix.
The magnetic tiles should be cleaned with a damp, well wrung out cloth. They should not be plunged in the sink with the dirty dishes or put in the dishwasher or washing machine. If water gets inside the magnets, leave the tiles standing upright to dry.
