This toy doesn't have any rulebook or right or wrong ways to play, and your child can simply play without having to think about how to use it. The goal is simply playing and being in the present moment. We call this type of play intuitive play - its also known as "open-ended play". We suggest that you seize the chance to watch how things unfold when your child plays following their intuition.
As opposed to types of play which focus on achieving a result or playing within specific boundaries, intuitive play will most often give you fascinating insight into your child’s own problem-solving skills, imagination, and thought process.
The activity helps your child develop new skills and is great for your child's well-being:
- Improves your child's fine motor skills through play.
- Supports hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting accurately with scissors, pouring a glass of water without spilling and making a mess, or when catching or kicking the ball that comes flying towards us in PE class.
