Maileg was created in 1999 by Erik og Dorthe Mailil, who set out to make durable toys with personality and soul as a counterbalance plastic toys and fast trends. The name Maileg is made up of the founders' surname and the Danish word for play. Based in Herning, Denmark, Maileg designs toy figures and accessories full of ""hygge"" and Scandinavian design.Maileg's mice, elves, animal figures, and accessories are made with slow, calm play in mind. It's all about imagining worlds and immersing yourself in stories with toys whose quality and appearance will last for years. Your child gets to form a heartfelt and close bond with their toys and the charming little mice and elves.
