My Very First Games - Hungry as a Bear

For many children, it can be a real relief to immerse themselves in a game with clear rules as a break from free play with their mates at kindergarten or school.

In addition, playing games gives your child an opportunity to experience (and cope with) losing. We suggest not letting your child win the game every single time. Teach your children to handle losing in a safe environment together with you. This builds resilience in your child, which will benefit them later in life when they have to handle situations on their own and you are no longer there to shield them from defeat and disappointment.
