Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 7 yrs.
Talk about where our food comes from and what happens to it inside the body. This is great for your child’s vocabulary and knowledge. Play food is fantastic for pretend play, which inspires your child to act out real-life scenarios such as shopping, cooking, or going to a café.
Through role playing, your child can gain experience with rules, boundaries, and opportunities for social interaction and identity formation. When a group of children play with play food together, they practise how to cooperate, take turns, communicate, and compromise. Also, you can expand your child's play opportunities by playing grocery store, maybe with little homemade special offer signs. That way, you can practise both words and numbers, and your child can build up their confidence practising polite phrases and adding up small sums.
