Suitable for ages 18 mos. to 5 yrs.

Toy food is ideal for role playing, which inspires your child to copy real-life situations such as shopping, cooking, or being in a café. Have conversations about what happens to food inside the body, where our food comes from, and when we usually eat it. This is great for your child’s knowledge and vocabulary.

Through role play, your child can experiment with boundaries, rules, and opportunities for social interaction and identity formation. When a group of children play with play food together, they learn how to compromise, take turns, cooperate, and communicate. You can expand your child's play opportunities by playing grocery store, maybe with little homemade signs and price tags. That way, you can have fun with both numbers and words, and your child can gain confidence in calculating prices, giving back change, or greeting customers politely.

Do you know Learning Resources?

Providing children with materials that make learning fun is essential for Learning Resources - as their name suggests.

In particular, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is at the centre at Learning Resources. Among other things, your child can learn to explore and experiment, build robots, and learn to code. For teachers and educators, Learning Resources is a learning goldmine. Coding dinosaurs, math games, and sorting animals can really add some fun to the teaching.
