Suitable for children aged 2 yrs. to 4 yrs.
Doing puzzles together strengthens your child's patience and fine motor skills. Also, putting the pieces together is a good way to get better at understanding how the single pieces form a whole and figuring out where each piece belongs in the big picture.
The ability to register something visually (with our eyes) and envision what's missing from a whole is important in learning geometry and math as well as comprehending how sums, sentences, or a piece of knitting, among other things, consist of patterns and sequences.
If the puzzle has a special topic, such as anatomy, jungle animals, or flags of the world, you can talk about it and strengthen your child's vocabulary while you're placing the pieces.
