Sensory Light-Up Water Jar - Coral

Item No: 1279-GPJARCOR
Vision
Immersion and relaxation
Curiosity

A beautiful sensory jar that you or your child can fill with tap water, glitter, pom-poms, sequins, and all sorts of little treasures. Maybe even a little bath toy?

To open the lid, press both sides at the same time while twisting. That makes the jar nicely spill-resistant for curious little hands.

  • Start by inserting the batteries: Grab a screwdriver, unscrew the bottom and insert 3 AAA batteries (not included). Then thread the bottom back on.
  • Now fill the jar with tap water - not mineral water or other liquids. The ions in tap water help activate the jar’s light.
  • Add pom poms, beads, sequins, glitter, or other fun bits to the water.
  • Be careful not to use too much glitter, as it can cover the sensors and turn off the light.
  • The sensory bottle will cycle through 9 different colours. If you tap the side, it will switch to a new colour.
  • Turn the bottle upside down to switch it off, and store it with the lid facing down.

Cleaning
Use a coffee filter when emptying and cleaning the jar. That way, you can reuse the decorations and keep your glitter from disappearing down the drain. The manufacturer recommends cleaning the jar with warm soapy water once a day.

What can I put in the sensory jar?
Most objects that are water-safe, fit in size, and won’t dissolve can go into the jar.

How long does the light in the sensory jar last?
The sensory jar will light up as long as the batteries have power. So it depends on the quality of the batteries. When the light runs out, insert new batteries and it's ready to go again.

Turn the sensory jar upside down to switch it off. As long as there’s 3.5–4 cm of air at the top, the light will switch off.

Measures approximately 15 x 11.5 x 18.5 cm.
Please note that the opening is smaller than the circumference of the jar.

Suitable for ages 18 mos. to 7 yrs.

This toy has no rules, and your child can simply play with it without having to think about how to use it. Playing in the present moment is the goal itself. We call this type of play intuitive play - its also known as "open ended play". We suggest that you seize the opportunity to notice how things unfold when your child plays following their intuition.

Unlike types of play which are about achieving a result or playing within specific boundaries, intuitive play will often give you fascinating insight into your child’s own imagination, problem-solving skills, and thought process.

The activity supports skill development and is great for your child's well-being:

  • Invites your child to immerse themselves and relax.
  • A lovely gift idea for your curious child.
