When children play by stacking blocks or other objects on top of each other, which they start doing as toddlers, they also learn about proportions, physics, balance, and gravity. At first, it’s mostly about pushing over the blocks. But gradually, your child's motor skills become better, and they stack the blocks taller and taller or begin stacking figures, toy animals, or other things. If the blocks have numbers on them, your child can practise numbers and sequences while playing.
