Do you know Time Timer?
Being able to perceive and understand time reduces stress and increases safety. With the Time Timer, time becomes visual, and you don't need to be able to read a clock in order to grasp how much time is left.Time is quite abstract, so in our opinion, the Time Timer is just one of the most ingenious things we have seen in a long time. The red (or blue) disc clearly indicates how much time remains. Time goes by without distracting audible ticks, and the coloured disc is easy to read.
There are several Time Timer models to choose from. For example, Time Timers come with different minute counts, in various sizes, and even as wristwatches. The Time Timer is also great for people with special needs. The larger models are suitable for bigger settings or for visually impaired users. They have high colour resolution and silent timers with no audible ticking.
The main idea behind the classic Time Timer
The clock counts down, but it goes clockwise and the numbers also go downwards rather than up.
It's pretty logical. For example, if you need to adjust the Time Timer to 25 minutes, so your child knows there are 25 minutes left of the evening before teeth need to be brushed and lunchboxes need to be packed, this is how you do it on the Time Timer:
Set the red disc so it covers 25 minutes. Now the dial is white from "12 o’clock" to where it normally says "35 minutes" on a dial – because from "35" to "12 o’clock" is 25 minutes.
The ingenious thing about the Time Timer is that the dial is reversed. On the Time Timer, it doesn't say "35" when you set the timer to 25 minutes. It logically shows "25". And the clock counts down from "25" and not up from "35".
This means you need to adjust your classic 60-minute Time Timer to "25" when you want to time 25 minutes. When 5 minutes have gone by, the red disc will be at "20" minutes, so it's clear to see that there are only 20 minutes left until toothbrushing time.
