What makes this product special

Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 11 yrs.

Constructing and building is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We can certainly write a long essay about how building and construction play develops your child's hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and creativity as well as interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.

With this type of play, your child also gets real hands-on experience with solving problems when they need to figure out how to build the construction so it doesn't suddenly fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of pieces, blocks, and other building materials makes it fun for them to concentrate. Also, it's just so cool and satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the longest marble run ever, or to maybe make a super cool domino row and film it when it topples.

Supports important skills that really benefit your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

  • Strengthens your child's fine motor skills.
  • Stimulates hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting with scissors, pouring water into a glass without spilling and making a mess, or when catching, throwing, or kicking a ball that comes flying at us in PE class.
  • Develops and improves your child's ability to concentrate.

Do you know KAPLA?

Kapla designs building blocks made of pine that are very easy to stack and balance. Also, they are very stable and durable. Use the Kapla blocks to build tall towers, spiral staircases, and other cool things from imagination. Or you can set them up like dominoes in a neat pattern - give the first block a nudge and watch the whole thing fall in a delightful, satisfying topple.

Your child learns about cause and effect and how to deal with disappointment, if (or when) their awesome structure comes crashing down. It's very disappointing, but it also motivates your child to come up with solutions. Perhaps the blocks need to be closer together - or maybe it needs to be built on the dining table instead of the floor, away from wagging dog tails.
