A balance bike is a brilliant way to build up your child's cross-body coordination and balance from a young age. What's special about balance bikes is that they don't have pedals, so your child pushes the bike forward with their feet while straddling it.

A balance bike is a great way to challenge your child without having to worry about them having too many accidents - because at all times, your child has a foot on the ground and can keep their balance and brake. Being able to control their speed much more easily than on a normal bike gives your child a sense of freedom. At the same time, you can also practise traffic signals, left/right, and being considerate of other road users.

A wonderful way to prepare for learning to ride a bike with pedals. Quite often, your child can skip using training wheels on their pedal bike, because they've already had lots of balance training.
