It supports your child's depth perception to play ball using their hands, feet, head, or a racket/bat. Some ball games have rules, and it's good for your child to practise following and negotiating them. So, when your child persistently claims that there's absolutely NO penalty kick, or that the ball was not out of bounds, that's a learning moment right there. Ball games also gives your child's proprioception thorough workout - and that's a sense which cannot get overstimulated.
This activity benefits important skills which support your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- This type of play benefits your child's depth perception.
- This type of play strengthens your child's gross motor skills. It especially involves your child's ability to control the coordination of their legs and arms.
