Build 'N' Balance Accs. - Tilting Disc

A fun add-on for your balance course that really puts your balance skills to the test.

The balance disc is designed to be mounted on a Gonge top, which you’ll also find here in the shop. Each top has a hole where the tilting disc can be inserted.

Here, important skills are stimulated, which are wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

• With this activity, your child gets better at concentrating.
• This is a way for your child to engage their vestibular sense, which helps us to stand on one leg, spin in circles, or ride in a car without losing our balance, feeling dizzy, or getting car sick.
• Supports your child's proprioception, which is also called the kinesthetic sense or the body awareness sense.

Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to 11 yrs.

Let your child play without first having to think about how the toy works. Here, there is no right or wrong way to play, and there is no rulebook. Playing in the present moment is the goal here. We at Toy Academy call this type of play intuitive play. It's also referred to as "open ended play". We suggest that you pause and watch what happens when your child plays using their intuition.

Unlike types of play which are aimed at achieving a particular result, intuitive play will most often let you have interesting insight into your child’s independent problem-solving skills, thought process, and imagination.

Allowing your child to roll, jump, rock, tumble, and crawl all over your furniture gives them lots of extra physical activity in their day-to-day life. More physical activity is never bad, because your child's proprioception just can't be overstimulated.
