Connetix knows how to make magnetic building extra fun —and their Roads & Transport theme is no exception. 

With this fun 16-piece set, your child can build ramps, intersections, and roadways galore. And as always, the pieces can be combined with other Connetix sets to take their creations even further.

Building and construction play is educational, fun, and also time consuming. We'll leave out a long essay about how this type of play supports your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.

With construction play, your child also gets real-life experience with solving problems when it comes to figuring out how to build the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of blocks, pieces, and sticks develops their imagination and patience. Also, it's such a confidence boost to construct a tall, tall tower or build the world's longest marble run, or to maybe create an impressive row of dominoes and film it as it topples.

In 2019, a couple of parents in Australia came up with the idea for Connetix. Their children loved magnetic building toys, and the parents came up with the idea to create even more transparent magnetic building tiles. At the same time, they designed a ball run that matched the magnetic tiles - and thus the original Connetix was born. Connetix are magnetic building tiles that are more transparent and have a cleaner design than, for example, Magna-Tiles. Connetix are even more beautiful to look through when your child builds in 2D against a window or on a light panel. They have two magnets per side and can be combined with Magna-Tiles and Cleverclixx - but not with Magformers.

If you are going to make ball runs, you can have more fun if you have a set of square magnetic construction tiles (either Connetix or Magna-Tiles) as well as a ball run set. The ball run packs contain no or very few regular building tiles, so they need a few extra parts to look nice and be stable.
