What makes this product special

Looking for custom pictograms and happy to design them yourself?
These 30 blank cards give you the freedom to draw or write exactly what you need for your child’s visual schedule.

The cards are blank, so you’ll need coloured pencils, regular pencils, permanent markers, or markers made for smooth surfaces. We recommend testing one card first and letting the ink dry to make sure it adheres properly.

Here, essential skills are engaged, which are great for your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:

  • Develops your child's memory skills while you play.
  • Gives your child the courage to become self-reliant. Many children do NOT want any help, and that desire for self-reliance gets stimulated through the confidence and skills learned in this type of play.

Suitable for ages 1 yr. to 11 yrs.

A lot goes on during a day that your child doesn’t know is going to happen at all. The ability to structure, plan, and organise is not developed until later in childhood or when your child becomes a teenager. Therefore, pictograms help your child understand what will be happening next.

Children can’t think in seconds, minutes, and hours. They are more likely to think in events. It’s not easy for children to form a thought sequence like “first I have to get dressed, then brush my teeth, then leave the house”. And that’s why getting everyone ready and out the door can involve meltdowns.

Most children find that their day becomes more predictable when explained visually. That's exactly why pictograms can be helpful. And children with executive function difficulties, for instance children who experience sensory overload or are on the autism spectrum, can use pictograms to predict and plan their day.
