What makes this product special
Pictograms can help your child figure out what's about to happen. The ability to structure, organise, and plan doesn't develop until our late childhood or teenage years. So, a ton of things takes place during the day that your child doesn’t know is going to happen at all.
Children think in events rather than hours and minutes. It’s hard for children to form a thought sequence like “first I have to get dressed, then brush my teeth, then we leave the house, and when I come home I can watch 15 minutes of TV”.
Children with executive function challenges, for instance children who experience sensory overload or are on the autism spectrum, can use pictograms to predict and plan their day. But many children find that their day becomes easier to predict when it's explained to them with visuals. That's precisely why pictograms are helpful.
