Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.
Different kinds of play furniture with specific themes from the world around us offer a safe environment for your child to play and practise cooking or going to the supermarket or the doctor’s. Children are expected to behave in certain ways in these environments, and children can only understand such expectations if they've had a chance to practise and experiment a bit beforehand, for example through play that involves being polite, describing symptoms, or placing an order. It’s also ideal if you have a child who is a little shy around strangers.
This activity strengthens important skills which support your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- Helps your child unleash their imagination.
- In role play, your child recreates everyday situations through play, imitates us adults, and creates their own universe.
- Strengthens social skills, which, according to early years educators, are more important for students to practise than learning letters and numbers.
