When children are learning to understand stories, physical props are a great help. A hand puppet allows your child practise storytelling. Also, they're a very nice way to bring a fairy tale or story to life. The storyteller does not get hidden away behind a book but gets to be active and in close contact with the little listeners, who can actively participate in the story instead of just listening passively.
