Suitable for children aged 3 yrs. to 7 yrs.
Play food is great for role play, which inspires your child to copy real-life situations such as cooking, shopping, or going to a café. Have conversations about what happens to food inside the body, where our food comes from, and when we usually eat it. This helps to develop your child’s vocabulary and knowledge.
Through role playing, your child can experiment with rules, boundaries, and opportunities for identity formation and social interaction. When children play with play food together, they learn how to cooperate, take turns, communicate, and compromise. You can expand your child's play opportunities by playing grocery store, maybe with little homemade special offer signs. That way, you can explore both words and numbers, and your child can strengthen their math skills and their manners through role play.
