What makes this product special
Construction play is very educational, very fun, and a bit time consuming. We won't burden you with a long-winded dissertation on how this type of play supports your child's hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and creativity as well as understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
While playing, your child also gets real hands-on experience with problem-solving as they figure out how to build the construction so it doesn't fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of magnets, building blocks, or pieces makes it fun for them to concentrate. Also, it's such a confidence boost to construct a tall, tall tower or build the longest marble run ever, or to maybe make a super cool row of dominoes and film it as it topples.
This activity benefits important skills which help support your child's well-being and ability to learn new things:
- Develops your child's fine motor skills.
- Stimulates hand-eye coordination, a skill we use for example when cutting with scissors, pouring water into a glass without spilling and making a mess, or when catching, throwing, or kicking the ball that comes flying towards us in PE class.

Do you know KAPLA?
Kapla makes building blocks made of pine that are easy to stack and balance. At the same time, they are very durable and stable. Use the Kapla blocks to build spiral staircases, tall towers, and lots of other cool things from imagination. Or you can arrange them in neat patterns like dominoes - push the first block over and watch the whole row fall over in a delightful, satisfying topple.Your child learns about cause and effect and how to cope with defeat (or at least try to), if their awesome structure falls apart. It's a real bummer, but it also motivates your child to come up with solutions. Perhaps the structure needs to be tighter - or maybe it needs to be built on the dining table instead of the floor, away from wagging dog tails.
