Construction play is educational, fun, and also time consuming. We won't get into a long-winded piece about how this type of play strengthens your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as interest in entrepreneurship and understanding of geometry.
With construction play, your child also gets practical experience with solving problems as they figure out how to set up the construction so it doesn't suddenly fall over. Your child's construction play with all sorts of pieces, blocks, and other building materials develops their patience. Also, it's so satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the world's longest marble run, or to create an impressive domino row and film it when it topples.

Do you know Plus-Plus?
The pieces are shaped like small plus symbols and can be put together on all sides – and you can choose between small (2 x 1.2 x 0.4 cm) or large (5 x 3 x 1 cm) pieces in a variety of colours. Plus-Plus are wonderful building toys that most kids adore. Playing with Plus-Plus builds up kids' understanding of geometry and logic. On YouTube (among other places), you can see tons of instructions and suggestions for building amazing things with Plus-Plus.Plus-Plus® pieces are manufactured in Denmark, and the factory exclusively makes use of renewable energy sources. You can put them in the washing machine or dishwasher (if you have one) at 60 degrees.
Plus-Plus can easily withstand years of construction play in preschools and childcare centres, and they can withstand about a whole lifetime of fun construction play at home. Donate or sell your Plus-Plus when the day comes when your child outgrows them.
