Construction play is fun, a bit time consuming, and very educational. We won't get into a long and tedious essay about how this type of play strengthens your child's hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as well as their understanding of geometry and interest in entrepreneurship.
With this type of play, your child also gets hands-on experience with problem-solving when it comes to figuring out how to put together the construction so it doesn't collapse. Your child's construction play with all sorts of building blocks, pieces, or magnets develops their patience. Also, it's so cool and satisfying to construct a tall, tall tower or build the longest marble run ever, or to maybe create an impressive domino track and film it as it topples.

Do you know Plus-Plus?
Plus-Plus are wonderful construction toys that most kids adore. The pieces are shaped like small plus symbols and can be put together both in 2D and 3D – and they are available in small (2 x 1.2 x 0.4 cm) and large (5 x 3 x 1 cm) sizes and many colours. Playing and building with Plus-Plus develops kids' sense of logic and geometry. On YouTube (among other places), you can check out lots of easy building instructions and ideas for building with Plus-Plus.It’s easy to clean Plus-Plus® pieces in the dishwasher/washing machine at 60 degrees. The Plus-Plus® pieces are produced in Denmark, and the factory exclusively makes use of energy sources that are renewable.
You can donate or sell your Plus-Plus when your child gets tired of playing with the pieces. Plus-Plus® last for several years of building play in preschools and childcare centres, and they'll last almost a lifetime at home.
