Suitable for children aged 2 yrs. to 7 yrs.
Have conversations about what happens to food inside the body, where our food comes from, and when we usually eat it. This strengthens your child’s vocabulary and knowledge. Play food is great for role playing, which inspires your child to act out real-life situations such as cooking, shopping, or visiting a café.
Through role playing, your child can gain experience with boundaries, rules, and opportunities for identity formation and social interaction. When the children play with play food together, they practise how to compromise, take turns, cooperate, and communicate. You can also use the play food to play grocery store and practise making special offers, writing signs, and politely greeting customers. Your child can take payment at the cash register and give back change, which is great for practising their math skills.
