Academic knowledge

A fantastic microscope set with lots of accessories, all in a handy carry case. It's easy to bring along for discoveries wherever you go, whether you're heading to a sleepover or visiting the grandparents.

With its high magnification and impressive collection of accessories, this microscope is a great choice for older children who love hands-on science and have the patience and focus to explore specimens in detail.
You'll probably need to help your child adjust the microscope, especially at higher magnifications. The more you zoom in, the more abstract the view becomes, so your child may need a little extra guidance to understand what they're seeing.
The microscope offers both top and bottom illumination, allowing light to shine through transparent specimens for a closer look at what's inside.

Choose this microscope if you:

  • Want to give your child the opportunity to explore incredibly tiny details with powerful, high-precision magnification.
  • Enjoy learning and discovering together, from setting up the microscope and preparing fascinating specimens to hatching and caring for the tiny brine shrimp included in the kit.
  • Want to encourage your child to take their interest in science to the next level.

Includes:

  • Microscope with 300x–1200x magnification
  • Adjustable bottom illumination for illuminating specimens from different angles
  • Slide box with 5 prepared microscope slides
  • 5 blank microscope slides
  • 10 cover slips
  • Tools for preparing your own specimens (scissors, tweezers, pipette, and dissecting needles)
  • Brine shrimp (Artemia) hatching kit
  • Sea salt
  • Instructions

Your child may need a little help from an adult to focus the microscope.

Suitable for children aged 6 yrs. to Seniors

If you want to give your curious little one a microscope, remember that price and quality generally go hand in hand. So think about what you would like to examine through the microscope.

For instance, if you would like to observe a drop of blood, our advice is that you get a microscope for children which has over 400x magnification. The price is on the higher end, but your child will learn and understand so much more when they get to focus the microscope and learn on their own. But it’s also fun and educational to observe a dead spider or a fly way up close, and you can easily do that with a simple microscope.
