Suitable for ages 3 yrs. to 6 yrs.
Toy food is great for pretend play, which inspires your child to copy real-life situations such as shopping, cooking, or visiting a café. Talk about where food comes from, when we typically eat it, and where it goes after we swallow it. This develops your child’s knowledge and vocabulary.
Role play where children copy everyday activities strengthens their understanding of the world around them. With play food, your child can also play and be silly with food in a way that is probably not tolerated at the table with real food. You can also use the play food to play grocery store and practise writing little signs, coming up with prices and special offers, and practising polite phrases. Your child can take payment at the cash register and give back change, which improves their math skills.
The activity is wonderful for your child's well-being and ability to learn:

- Great for group role play, where children get to practise taking turns to lead and finding their own place in the game.
